KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR.
A fracture of the .thigh was suffered -, I - Mr. Peter James, aged 53, single, an - engineer, of 45, St. Paul's Street, City, when he was struck by a taxicab at the corner of Lome Street and Rutland Street last evening. Ifc was admitted • to the Auckland Hospital. His condition is not serious.
