LONG CAREER ENDS.

FATHER OF PARLIAMENT. (Reed. 1 p.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. The death is announced of Dr. William Maloney, the oldest member of the Federal Parliament, at the age of 86. The deceased politician, a doctor of medicine, was first elected to the Federal Parliament in 1903, and he had held his seat continuously since. In March of last year, he completed 50 years as a member of Parliament. He first entered the Victorian Parliament in 1889.
