ON 'CHANGE.
MARKET VERY FIRM. BUSINESS AGAIN SLACK. Values were very firm on the Auckland Stock Exchange this morning, but the flush of business seen yesterday was no longer in evidence. Only two sales were recorded. One of them, however, was direct evidenre of the firmness of the inurket. Jt was of Wool worths (Sydney), which ilimiged hands at 17/6, compared with ]•>, 'i on Wednesday. Tile bidding rose sharply yesterday afternoon, and now buyers nre left at 17/3. with holders withdrawn to 18/0. New Zealand Woolworths also advanced, with buyers at 15/7 and sellcia at 10/. The Noon Call. Though there wae considerable life in the bidding, and though buyers showed that they were prepared to advance their offers, the amount of business at the noou call was small. Broken Hill Proprietaries moved up still further with a sale at £2 4/, while Electrolytic Zinc (preference) sold at £2 12/; compared with the previous sale in June at £2 5/.
