WOMEN POLICE.
SCHEME FOR DOMINION. CALLING FOR APPLICANTS. WELLINGTON, this day. When the House of Representatives met this morning, the question of the appointment of women police in the Dominion was raised by Mr. S. G. Holland (National, Christchurch North), who aeked the Minister in Charge of the Police Department, whether he could give any indication of the approximate date when women police would be appointed? The Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, said he could answer the question immediately, and intimated Uiat advertisements calling for applications for positions would appear shortly.—(Press Assn.).
