BOY DROWNED.

CAPSIZE OF CANOE. HELENSVILLE FATALITY. HELENSVILLE, this day. The capsizing of a canoe in the Helensville River late yesterday afternoon resulted in a 16-year-old boy, Ralph Bradly, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Bradly, of Heleneville, being drowned. The body was recovered. When the canoe capsized, a companion, Thomas Weir, aged 14, held on to the upturned craft, and was helped to the bank by another boy, William Boyle, who swam to the rescue. In the meantime Bradly had disappeared. The accident happened between the Helensville wharf and the Awaroa Creek. A strong tide was running.
