RAILMEN'S DEMANDS.
COMMENT BT MR. FRASER. WELLINGTON, Thursday. "I refuse to believe that the resolution in question represents the- views of the railway workere concerned," stated the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, referring to an Auckland mee■age reporting a resolution of the Otahuhu branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants demanding ■weeping changes in the Government's policy. "It appears," Mr. Fraser added, 'to be simply an attempt by. a small group of irresponsible, or worse, to drive a wedge in the Labour movement, as well as to divide the country's united war effort, and as such is not entitled to ■erious consideration. "The Labour Government, representing hundreds of thousands of voters, Jβ closer in touch with the mass of working people than a small group concerned mainly with- raising difficulties during the war period and endeavouring by distortion and misrepresentation to corrupt the public mind and delude unthinking people, most of whom are enxious to serve their country/ to the fullest extent. ,, — (Prea* Aesn.)
