In a report presented at a nu-etiuir of the Auckland Electric Power Board Vesterdav afternoon, the general manager. Mr. R. H. Bartley, said that as a result of recent representations made in Wellington, the balance of outstanding import permits for the board, up to July 24, had been granted, the items including several things that were causing the board concern. The total value of the equipment and materials in New Zealand currency was approximately £69,GG0. In addition, licenses had been granted for the importation by the board of a variety of electrical supplies, costing £23,367. Many of the orders had been placed for some time, some of the deliveries were due later this year. It was trusted that circumstances would permit the promised deliveries being fulfilled.
