HOMES.
I niust admire "Happy House Owner"' for his outspoken remarks. I am also one who realises his responsibilities. '-,'i ,ce my marriage three years ago, not then having the cash to purchase a property and not being able to rent one. I rented first one flat and then another, and in both cases struck two real tartars of landladies. There and then I decided I would not ask my wife to again live in a flat <?o I scraped up enough money o pa> the deposit on a cheap house an«l expected to have possession within « few weeks. Ten months have so f.-»r gone by and still no sign or possession, while my tenant flaunts the law over mv liead and tells her neighbours she has n<> intention of getting out. In the meaninic, m\ wife, baby and mvsclf are torced to take one room i n :nv ' mother"* house with all our furniture. Meanwhile the same Government who have imposed nis Fair Rents Act upon us claim to have the right of evicting their c«n tenants within 10 days and are still letting houses to married couples and others whose urgency is not apparent. UXHAPPY HOUSE OWNER.
