CULTURE OF MAORIS.
At a meeting held under the auspices of the Auckland Rationalist Association Dr. W. S. Dale, M.A., Ph.D., occupied the platform.
'"We forget we owe the Maori anything, yet he has left the stamp of his racial characteristics on our civilisation," declared the lecturer. He recalled how useful the Maoris' knowledge had been to the early settlers and surveyors. This great race also produced scholars and thinkers.
