LIQUOR NEAR HALL.

For having intoxicating liquor in his possession near a dance hall, Trevor Patterson appeared in the Otahuhu Police Court yesterday. Senior Sergeant Daly said that on July 20 at 11 p.m. accused was found near a dance hall at Bucklands Beach with a bottle of gin in his possession. The police were kept busy all hours of the night detecting this sort of offence. The magistrate, Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., imposed a fine of £2 10/, with Court costs 10/. He refused an application for the suppression of accused's name.
