PATRIOTIC WORK.
PQNSONBT ACTIVITIES. A social and gift afternoon under the auspices of the Ponsonby Patriotic Committee was held in St. Stephen's School hall, Jervois Koad. The branch president. Mrs. S. O. English, welcomed tfie guests and thanked all who had contributed gifts for soldiers , parcels. An enjoyable musical programme, arranged by Mrs.- R. Reed, consisted of itetne by Mrs. Hum(r ey , don, Mrs - M - Colljcoat, Mte. -V;gel White, Mrs. Hill and the Westminster Trio. >
