CORNWALL PARK.

RESTRICTIONS IMPOSED. DAMAGE DONE BY PUBLIC. The trustees of Cornwall Park have decided to close the historic Logan Campbell cottage at week-ends and to prohibit horse tiding and the playing of golf in the park. The period for which the restrictions will apply is indefinite Sir James Gunson, chairman of the trustees, states that the" reason for taking the present action is because of the extensive damage caused bv members of the public. Although* riding tracks were provided, 6omc horsemen had consistently refused to keep fo the tracks and had ridden across lawns, causing considerable damage. Larrikins had been responsible for much damage to the Logan Campbell cottage, and as most of these abuses occurred on Saturday*, and Sundays it had been decided to close the cottage on those days. The trustees considered the playing *of golf in the park was a source of annoyance and a danger to sheep grazing there.
