LIFE OF PARLIAMENT.
AUSTRALIAN LEADER'S VIEW.
(Received noon.) CANBERRA, this day. Mr. J. Curtin, leader of the Labour party in the Federal Government, has expressed opposition to the reference of a proposal to extend the life of Parliament to "anybody except the people of Australia." Mr. Curtin added: "It is nobody else's business. I see no difficulty in holding an election, assuming that Australia, when the election is due, is in the same poeition as it is at present."
