ABSENT WITHOUT LEAVE.

Charged with being absent without leave from May 23 to July 14, Private T. Lincen, of the 24th (Auckland) Battalion, appeared before a courtmartial at Papakura yesterday afternoon. Major J. G. C. Wales, M.C., N.Z.8.0., was president of the court, and with him were Captain C. H. Chapman, M.C., and Captain R. R. Beattie. LieutenantColonel West, V.D., was judge-advocate. The decision will not be promulgated until it has been confirmed by Colonel >T. W. McD. Weir, officer commending the district. e
