DOG REGISTRATION LEVY.
CAMPAIGN IN* NEW ZEALAND.

The Government and local governing authorities, were, he said, united in a campaign to deal with hydatids, which for some years had shown an alarming increaee in New Zealand. Medical opinion held that doge carried the disease, which spread with remarkable rapidity to human beings. "The soundness of the campaign," the Minister added, "is illustrated in the decision to delay for a few months this year the registration of doge until the arrival from abroad of fresh supplier of the hydatids remedy to be hande.l over with the registered dog collars.
