ON 'CHANGE.
WEEK OPENS BRISKLY. FAIR AMOUNT OF BUSINESS. MORE LIFE IN BIDDING. The tone on the Auck.and Stock Exchange this morning was brisker than has been usual for some time for the first call of the week. Not only was there more life in the bidding, but the volume of business was appreciably more than some days. Values, generally, showed an upward tendency. Now Zealand ami South British Insurance were level at £1 18/6 and £2 7/6, but Nationals, at 18/, were 3d higher. In other sections as well buyers' quotations showed an advance, while sellers were steady. The Noon Call. Thnufrh the amount of business done at the noon call was small, the tone remained brisk, with buyem showing an added interest in many sections. Bidders for Banks of New South Wales moved forward 5/ to £26 15/ without attracting a seller. Holders for Wilsons Cement conceded 6d in being willing to sell at 18/, while buyers remain at 17/9.
