The Gazette also contains the follow ing postings to the Chaplains Depart ment, Xew Zealand Military Forces, applying to the Auckland area:—The Rev. C. W. Duncumb (Baptist) to be Chaplain, 2nd Class; the Rev. G. M. Marinovich (Roman Catholic) to ba Chaplain, 4th Class; the Rev. F. G. WaiU (Roman Catholic) to fee Chaplain, -llli Claes; Mr. H. C. Goffin (Salvation Army) to be Chaplain, 4th Claee.
PROMOTIONS ANNOUNCED.
Included in promotions and appointments officially announced, Captain L. A. Lincoln, formerly district works officer at Northern Military District headquarters, is granted the temporary rank cf major in the Expeditionary Force. In the Army Ordnance Corps WarrantOfficer, Class I (Armament -Sergeant Major) S. Thomson is promoted lieutenant and quartermaster, and appointed officer in charge of the Northern Military District workshops at Devon£'Ort.
The following appointments are made in the Territorial Forces:—
North Auckland Mounted Rifles.—Lieutenant J. E. Hannah. New Zealand Artillery : Major A. H. W. Evenden, to the Oth Heavy Battery. 9th Heavy Reg'menf Second-Lieutenant C. S. Maguinness, 9th Heavy Kegiment, to the temporary rank oi lieutenant.
