MEMORIAL PROJECT. LATE SIR T. KING'S WORK. TRAINING SCHOOL PLANNED. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. The project for the erection of a fitting memorial to the founder of the Plunket Society, the late Sir Truby King, was carried a step further ahead in the House of Representatives last night, when a subsidy of £2000 wm voted in the estimate* of the Heal h department. The memorial will probii lily take the form M a training school for Plunket nurses in Dunedin, Sir Truby's home town. The Leader of the Opposition, Mr. Hamilton, paid a tribute to / the work done by Sir Truby for the mothers and Uiliies of New Zealand. He asked the .Minister of Health, Mr. Armstrong. « here the memorial wns to be erectej, nnd what form it would take. There was no one in New Zealand whose eervice was held in higher esteem than that of the late Sir Truby King, the Minister said. The result of his work could be seen everywhere, and the umount to. be voted was small when compared with its value to New Zealand and the world at large.
