ALIENS IN AUSTRALIA. Radio Sets Prohibited For Duration Of War. INTERNEES FROM BRITAIN. L"nitcd l'ress Association.—Copyright. (Received 10 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. The Pot-tmaHter-General, Mr. H. V. Thorby, announced that the reception in any public place of radio broadcasts from other than British or Empire broadcasting stations will be prohibited. Uunaturaliscd subjects in Australia aro not to be allowed to possess a radio for the duration of the war, and no unnaturaliscd subject will be issued with a listener's license. Any licenses held by aliens will be cancelled. According to "The Sun"' correspondent at Canberra enemy aliens that are being sent to Australia b\ r the British Government will be placed on an island off the coast or interned in camps in Central Australia. The Commonwealth has agreed to take about 2000 for the duration of the war. The whole cost will i i-j borne by the British Government.
