DIVORCE GRANTED.
UNUSUAL MARRIAGE
A marriage which, allegedly, had never been one in more than name was dissolved in the Supreme Court to-day, when William Sangster (Mr. R. C. Connell) intimated that he did not intend to proceed with a petition lodged by him for divorce from Sina Sangeter (Mr. Cleal), and the wife made petition for divorce - from him on the ground of desertion. The respondent wife gave evidence that she was married to petitioner in August, 1928, but they did not live together after marriage. She wanted to live with her husband, but he refused to live with hex, to make a home for her,' or to maintain lier. A child was born a few months after the marriage, and elie had to get a Court order against her husband for the child's maintenance. After corroborative evidence had been given, his Honor granted a decree nisi, granting custody of the child to the wife, and making an order for costs on the lowest scale against the husband. ✓
