CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS. The desirability of the Auckland City Council in future holding its regular meetings at 4.30 in the afternoon of the regular meeting day instead of at 7.30 in the evening was discussed at a special meeting of the council to-day.

As all the councillors were not present it was decided to leave the matter ill the hands of the Mayor, .Sir Ernest Davis. He expressed the opinion that if the change were made it would work very satisfactorily
