ON 'CHANGE.

MARKET STILL FIRMING. MORE LIFE APPARENT. SELLERS APPEARING. I here was more life at the morning call of the Auckland Stock Ex-hange to-day and a larger number of sellers appealed. The trend is still upward, as can bo seen by two sales of breweries—New Zealands yesterday afternoon and Dominion this morning. That yesterday was £1 12/, aa against £1 10/3 previously, and the sale this morning, £1 !), 9, compared with £1 8, 3. Most interest at the call was shown in Farmers' Trading, even though no saie resulted. Buyers Jumped from 17 6 to 18,6 in a quick succession of bids, while holders conceded 6d to be willing to quit at 19/. This new interest of sellers wan one of the features of the call. Buyers for Devonport Ferries rose from 19/6 to the price of the eale; and there are still buyers at that figure. Banks and insurances shared in the rise. For Bank of New Zealand there are now buyers at £2 0/3, with sellers only 3d away. Yesterday afternoon sellers weie at £2 1/. Not since May 28 were buyers as high as the figure to-day. On that day there was a sale at that figure. Then, however, the market was on its way down, not up. More sellers also appeared for Government stocks. The Noon Call. A sale of Bank of New Zealand at £2 0/3 was reported at the noon call, and, with holders still 3d away, buyers are still willing to give that amount. New Zealand Insurance buyers have advanced 3d to £2 16/9, while bidders for South British Insurance have withdrawn their offers 6d to £2 4/6. Another eale of Devonport Femes took place, this time at £1 1/. Buyers for Dominion Breweries receded 3d to £1 9/ 4 but for New Zealand Breweries the buying quote rose 1/ to £1 11/6, while holder* now are silent. There were fewer sellers for Goverainent issues at the noon call.
