STRIKE OVER.
STATE COAL MINES. BACK TO WORK TO-DAY. TERMS NOT DISCLOSED. - (By Telegraph.—Press Association,) GREYMOUTH, Sunday. The dispute at'tlie Strongman, James and Liverpool State mines at Rtmanga, which were • rendered idle last V.cmday following the management's refusal' to reinstate a truoker as recommended by Mr. J. O'Brien, M.P., was settled to-day. All three mines will resume work tomorrow. The terms of the settlement have not been disclosed.
Mr. A. McLagan, secretary of the United Mine Workers of New Zealand* in a statement to-night, said that the dispute was discussed at a largely attended meeting of State miners 1 to-day, when the recommendation of the union, executive was considered, and it was decided to resume work to-morrow.
Three representatives of the union, are to leave for Wellington to discuss an aspect of the dispute with the Priui© Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser.
