Sweet Cleanliness
THE word clean is a powerful word in the world of beauty. Your entire body must be kept sweetly clean. WHat is more flower-like than yourself as you step out of your perfumed bath? Nice, soft, dry towels, a careful application of your favourite dusting powder, slipping into a negligee, and if possible, a rest of even two minutes relaxed on your bed, and I assure you, a lovelier pe-rson will smile back at you from your mirror as you dress. If you use perfume, that is to say, if you use a nice one, remember perfume is intriguing only when you use it delicately and with discretion. Perfumes have more romance and imagination to give than any other one thing, except the natural flowers themselves. And one of the best features about perfume is that the scent you found is one all your friends haven't found yet, and it's rather fun to have something lovely and distinctive with just a touch of the exotic, perhaps. Protecting Baby's Skin A slight dusting with powder after the bath is t»enerally all that is needed to keep a baby's skin in good condition. Some babies, however, are susceptible to rashes, and these seem to obtain
most relief from the use of oil, or a good, cold cream. Both oil and powder are valuable aids in protecting baby's skin. Ordinary olive oil, or a pure
mineral oil, may be safely used, and powder should always be fine. Violet scented powder is delicious for baby's toilet, and it is also quit« harmless. When powder Is generally used, it is often advisable to rub a little oil into the folds of baby's neck and wrists. It is only by trial that you can determine what ifi more suitable for any particular ba.by. A delicate baby will benefit by being given an oil bath instead of the usual water bath, until he grows stronger.
