Bomb Explodes After Removal From British Pavilion. OUTRAGE AT NEW YORK. (Received 12.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, July 4. Two detectives were killed and two patrolmen seriously injured by a bomb which exploded a few minutes after its removal from the British Pavilion at the World's Fair. The detectives had been called to the pavilion to remove a "suspicious" suitcase which had been left there. The blast, which endangered 100 persons celebrating Independence Day, occurred after the suitcase had been removed to an open area between the Polish Pavilion and the Venezuelan Building and placed on the ground by the detectives.
