HEAVY CABBAGE SUPPLY. LARGE STOCKS OF ONIONS. FAIR SALE FOR TOMATOES. Cabbage wae in heavy eupply at the city markets to-day, and prices were low. Good ■tocke of cauliflowers aleo came forward, with value* elightly eaeier. For a heavy market of onions prices were about the eame aa laet week. Kumarae were short: with realisations consequently high. In the ftuit section there was a fansale for good quality hothouse tomatoes and for good dessert peare. Stocks of hothouse grapes are falling off uow, and price* for the fruit were Li«h. Prices were:— Fruit.—Apples: Delicious, 4/6 Co 5/6 case; Ballarat, 5/6; Granny Smith, 7/; Red Statesman, 5/« to d/; Wiuwwp, 3/9 to e/e. Peare: P. Barry, 7/ to 9/6 caae; Winter Nelk, 8/ to 13/. Tomatoe: Hothouee, 0d to 1/2H lb. Tree tomatoee: New Black, 7/ to 9/6 caae; yellow, 6/ to 8/. Or&ngea: Marmalade, choice, 7/ to 8/: other*, 3/ to 6/. Grapefruit: New Zealand, extra choke, 8/ to 10/ ca*e. Lemon*: 6/6 to 15/0 three-quarter buahel case, according to grade and count. Bananas: Ripe, 17/ to 27/ case. Graoes: Coleman, extra choice, 2/9 to 3/, few specials 3/3 to 3/0; others, 2/ to 2/6 lb. Cape gooseberries: 7d lb. Passion fruit: Choice, 10/ to 14/ case; others, 4/ to 8/ case. Eggs.—Hen: First «?rade. 2/5% dozen: B grade, 2/3%; C grade, 1/11%. Duck: First grade, 2/3% dozen; B grade, 2/1%C otrade, 1/11%. Farmers' Butter.—l/ sto 1/8% lb. Cut Flowens.—There was a moderate quantity of flowers at fo-day'e sale, and prices realised were good for moefc lines. There was an improvement in the price of pawer whites. all other varieties eold at fairly high prices throughout the sale.
