BALLOT PROCEDURE.
MEN MARRIED SINCE MAY 1. USUAL PAY AND ALLOWANCES. (From Our Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. Men who have married since May 1 will be classed as single for the purpose of the ballot calling them up for service within the Dominion or overseas, but will be paid ae married men, according to a statement made by the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, in an interview to-day. Reports that the men would be treated as single men under army pay conditions were denied by the Minister. "They will receive the ueual pay and allowances of married men," he said. "It would be unfair to treat them otherwise."
