CITY ARTILLERY BAND.
The 75th annual meeting of the social committee of the Auckland Artillery Band was held last evening, Sergeant-Major P. B. Smyth presiding. The report presented liy the secretary, Sergeant J. Kobiuson, indicated that the year had beeu a successful one, the band winning the Mcl>od Cup at the Dominion championships and saining highest points in the military section of the quickstep. The baud had been called on in patriotic efforts and had given a number of concerts in parks. Officers electi-d were : Chairman, SergeantMajor P. B. Smyth; treasurer, Sergeant G. Webber: secretary. Sergeant Robinson ; auditor, Mr. C. Collingwood; librarian, Lance-Bombardier C. Barry : conductor, Mr. H. Christianaon; deputy-conductor. Sergeant G. Jones-Parry.
