PERSONAL.
Sir John Reed, of Wellington, ie visiting Hamilton. Mr. James Fletcher and Mr. J. C. Fletcher returned from Wellington by train this morning. Mr. H. G. Turner, chief engineer of the Wellington Harbour Board, has retired on superannuation. Mr. Turner joined the staff in 1902. Mr. F. G. Markhew, assistant communications engineer at Wellington for the Railways Department, ' will leave for the South by the Limited exprese to-night. Mr. T. Miller, formerly stationmaster at Frankton Junction, has taken up the position of stationmaster, Auckland. He is succeeding Mr. T. H. Trask, who is now assistant district traffic manager at Dunedin. The Rev. S. W. Webber, of Otorohanga, has been appointed to represent the Waikato Presbytery at a special meeting of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church to be held "at Wellington this month. Messrs. F. G. Farrell and A. Grayeon, representing the Automobile Association (Auckland), returned from Wellington, where they attended a meeting of th»- executive of the North Island Motor Union, by the Limited expreae this morning.
