SOLDIERS' PAY.
ALLOTMENT TO 'WIVES.
A reader from Onehunga asks for information as to the allotments to wives and soldiers with children. The Army Department states that, a soldier of the Second Xew Zealand Expeditionary Force must allot to his wife an amount ae follows while in New Zealand:—
Married with no children, 3/ a dav; married with one child, 3/(i a day; married with two or more children, 4/ a day. On leaving Xew Zealand the daily minimum allotment ie increased to 4/0 for ranks below sergeant. ilen with more than two children are now not accepted for overseas eervice.
