CLAIMS FOR U-BOATS.

BERLIN, July 3.
A German communique states: "A German submarine sank 24,000 tons of enemy merchant shipping. Another Üboat torpedoed the Arandora Star.
"German 'planes yesterday sank a 12,000-ton and a fiOOO-ton vessel, and also seriously damaged an 8000-ton ship. "Our 'planee raided British armament centres along the east coast, particularly Newcastle. The raid last night on English south coast ports resulted in several fires and explosions.
"We shot down two British 'planes over Holland. British 'planes again bombed Holland and northern and western Germany last night, doing little damage. There were a number of casualties. One German 'plane is niissing."
