KING GIVES POSTHUMOUS V.C. (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, July 2. Before the open-air investiture ceremony in the quadrangle of Buckingham Palace, King George received Mrs. War-burton-Lee at the Palace and handed over the Victoria Cross awarded her late husband, Captain B. A. W. WarburtonLee of H.M.S. Hardy for valour in the first attack on Narvik. He commanded the second destroyer flotilla. His Majesty later decorated men of the Services for gallantry in Norway and France, including PaymasterLieutenant Standing of H.M.S. Hardy, who was limping on crutches and received the D.S.O.
