PETROL AND SERVICES.
I notice that the popular service cars between Auckland and Rotorua are to 'be discontinued, notwithstanding that they pay handsomely and have induced a great number of car owners to put their cars away and use the services in good faith of petrol saving. Just two months ago the Government paid some thousands for one service in Rotorua and in a few weeks' time it is to be discarded. If the Government can afford to waste such large sums of public money, why tax the public another 5 per cent for war tax ? Owing to the j>etrol restrictions is there to be no consideration to the travelling public, not to mention more unemployment? FAIR DEAL.
