NEW MINISTER.
KNOX CHURCH, PARNELL.
WELCOME BY CONGREGATION
To welcome the new minister of Knox Church, Parnell, the Rev. G. A. Naylor, and Mrs. Naylor, a social was held k in the Sunday School Hall last evening, the interim moderator, the Rev. R. G. MoDowall, presiding. The speakers included the Moderator of the Auckland Presbyterv, the Rev. P. Gladstone Hughes, Dean Fancourt, Messrs. A. M. Bell, W. Morrison, E. R. Boyd, Captain H. H. Sergeant and Miss Jean Davies. The new minister replied.
The presentation of a cheque was made to the Rev. McDowall by Mr. R. A. Walker in appreciation of hie services to the congregation as moderator, pending the appointment of a permanent .minister. A bouquet was presented to Mrs. Naylor by Miss Brenda Harris.
A presentation from the session and managers was made by Mr. W. J. Trott to Mr. Lan Paterson on the occasion of his marriage.
Items were given by Miss Sullivan and Mr. Honeycomb.
