MINISTER'S MOVEMENTS.
The Hon. R. Semple, Minieter of National Service, who arrived in Auckland on Saturday . morning, received several deputations during the morning and addressed the council of the Automobile Association (Auckland), explaining the need for further economy in the use of petrol. He again emphasised this need at a meeting of transport interests in and around the city in the evening. He addressed the council of the Chamber of Commerce this morning, and will transact departmental business during the day. The Minister will return tc Wellington by the Limited express this evening.
