PONSONBY CELEBRATIONS.
MANY OLD PUPILS PRESENT
Celebration of the 67th anniveraary of the opening of the Poneonby SchoolVa. concluded yesterday with a re%ious Lr* vice, conducted at the school ground, in Curran Street by Canon \V. W. Carr, M.P. who epoke on behalf o f the Minister of Education.
Reference to the early days of the school was made by Mr. A. E. Trayes, a former headmaster, and the school be-M was inns by Mies H. Phillips, who was a pupil in the opening year of 1873. On Saturday evening a banquet was 'new, and a number of toasts were honoured.
