TWO SOLDIERS CHARGED.

A district court-martial i 8 sitting at Papakura mobilisation camp to-day to olfu f A arg , eS against two of the -4th (Auckland) Rifle Battalion, Privates X. Catley and W. Hemphill. Each is charged with desertion, in that he was absent without leave from May 17 until apprehended on June 12.

The president of the Court is Lieutenant-Colonel C. E. Weir and th« members are. Major R. E. Sleigh and Lieutenant P. Griffiths. The prosecutor is Laptain Webb. Appearing for Catlev is Mr. V A. Clung and Captain C. F. 1 nomas is representing Hemphill. When the findings of the Court arc arrived at they will be. forwarded to headquarters of the Northern Military District for consideration of the officer convening the court-martial. Colonel X. H. McD. Weir, after which they will be I'romulgated in camp orders.
