A youug woman suffered fatal head injuries when .a ear ran oiT a driveway at the Nelson Mental Hospital and collided with some trees. The victim -was Miss Sadie Howard, aged 19. Tlie driver of the oar, 3lr. Wilfred Norman, aged 22, was taken to hospital with head wounds aud ehoek. There were three men and two women in the car, but the other three occupants received only minor injuries. WllOll the'car was 20 yards from the main entrance it ran off the roadway down ;i three-foot bank and struck two trees. 'Both doors on the left side were pulled oil" and the roof caved in.
