Lady Galway Guild.—The Auckland Patriotic Council supplied full information as to what ■was required for the efficient working of all local branches. Mr. McCulr lough reported that the Mount Roakil! branch was doing eplendid work and he apper.led to all residents to assist by obtaining eupplies of all kinds of clean materials. Hospital Rate.—Aβ the board's tion has been reduced by £280 from the previous year, it was decided to reduce th§ rate by 3-16tbs of a penny. Buildings. — Permits have been issued during the past fortnight to the value of £3292; 16 buildings are in course of ere* tion.
