MT. ROSKILL AFFAIRS.
The fortnightly meeting of the fc«j4 was held last evening, the chairman, Mr. C. M. SlcCullough. presiding.
Drainage at Winetone Park Estate.—The Medical Officer of Health indicated that in the Departments opinion the_ general installation of eeptic tanks on thie eetat* is undesirable and that a temporary sanitation service be used until eewer drainage is in vogue. Emergency Precaution Scheme. — The City Council asked the board to accept responsibility for the payment of £207 towards equipment which •wae considered necessary. The board agreed to the payment. Lady Galway Guild.—The Auckland Patriotic Council supplied full information as to what ■was required for the efficient working of all local branches. Mr. McCulr lough reported that the Mount Roakil! branch was doing eplendid work and he apper.led to all residents to assist by obtaining eupplies of all kinds of clean materials. Hospital Rate.—Aβ the board's tion has been reduced by £280 from the previous year, it was decided to reduce th§ rate by 3-16tbs of a penny. Buildings. — Permits have been issued during the past fortnight to the value of £3292; 16 buildings are in course of ere* tion.
