DEAN O'DONNEIX'S RECORD. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ASHBURTON, this day. Dean O'Donnell, who has been in charge of the Catholic parish of Ashburton for 48 years, to-day celebrated the diamond jubilee of his ordination as a priest. Thirty-seven Church dignitaries from all parts of the South Island are taking- part in the commemoration, which has only twice been observed in the Church—once in connection with the late Archbishop Redwood.
