Mr. R. J. Glasgow has been appointed a member of the Raglan Licensing Committee. Mr. F. Maurice Clarke, general manager of Union Airways, Limited, ie visiting Auckland. The Hons. B. Martin, R. Mawhete, E. Dye and J. E. Duncan will return to Wellington by train to-night. Captain the Rev. S. H. Buck, M.C., is vieiting Auckland. He expects to return to Trentham on Thursday. Mr. C. E. Crichley, Australian Trade Commissioner, of Wellington, left for Sydney this morning by the Awaiua. Dr. G. H. Cunningham, of the Plant Diseases Bureau, Mount Albert, will travel to Wellington by train to-night. Mr. T. S. Dove and Mr. T. Gill have been appointed producers' representatives on the Xew Zealaml Poultry Board. Mr. G. A. Lewin, of Dunedin. has been appointed a director of the State Advances Corporation,' according to a Gazette notice. Captain W. Martin, eaptnin of the Niagara, accompanied by 11 members of the engineering staff, left for Wellington by the Limited express last night. Messrs. A. S. Richards, C. W. Boswell, C. A. Barrell, P. K. Paikea, P. Carr and A. P. Moneur, M.P.'s, will be passengers for Wellington by train to-night. Major J. Abel, honorary Dominion organiser for the Sick, Wounded and Distress Fund appeal, who has been visiting Auckland over the week-end, expects to return to Wellington bv the Limited express to-night.
