PORT AGAIN OPEN.

The ban on all outward movements from the .port.,of. Auckland of vessels over 500 tons, imposed by the naval control authorities on Wednesday, was lifted yesterday. The step followed an announcement by the Prime Minister, the Hon. P. Eraser, on Thursday, that the port would be reopened as the result "of work by minesweepers. A number of vessels cleared port yesterday, but a few were held, and will leave to-day. On the Manukau one coastal motor ship, bouud from Onehunga to Nelson, remained at anchor overnight on Thursday inside the Manukau Heads, but passed over the bar yesterday morning. . •
