AERIAL ACTIVITY.
Reconnaissance Mights Over, Naval Bases, SUCCESSES CLAIMED. United Press Association.—Copyright. (Received 1 p.m.) LONDON, June 21. The tenth Italian war communique states: "General Headquarters of the armed forces, in a communique, says that through the night naval bases at Bizerta and Malta Were again subjected to an intensive, active aerial bombardment. Reconnaissance flights over aerial and naval bases in the Mediterranean were continued. "Northern African operations ?irc under way 011 the eastern border. -Althougli the operations are purely a matter of tactics, enemy losses totalled tec, aeroplanes and about 40 armed cars. "Last night a violent bombardment was carried out 011 the aerial bases o Marsamatruli, causing heavy damage" and big fires. "In East Africa, during an' unsuccessful raid on Italian aerial bases at Aivello, two more British 'planes were shot down. "The enemy has considerably lessened air raids 011 the Italian mainland. Onlv one bomb fell, and that nc*tr Impcris in open country."
