THE GERMAN PEOPLE.
**We have no quarrel with tie German people," So said Mr. Chamberlain, many times. Thousands of leaflets were dropped over Germany assuring the people that we were at war, not with them, but with their leaders. What a wanton waste of good paper! The German people are our bitterest enemies. They are as one with their leaders, hating us with the same intensity. 1 recall, in 1918, as a waitress assisting, at a dinner to celebrate the armistice (?), which was given to a party of officers just returned from the front. These war-worn men agreed unanimouslv that both in peace as in war the individual Hun is a brute at heart. This I firmly believed then, and I still more firmly believe it- now. Intern every person known to have German blood or tendencies, male or female. NIL PESPERANDUM.
