NEXT TWO MONTHS. £10,500,000 VOTED. BUDGET READY THURSDAY. SOUTHERN M.P.'S MAROONED. (By Telegraph.—-Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. Having passed the financial measure of £10,000,000 providing'supply for two months, the House .of Representatives adjourned late last night until Thursday evening next, when the Financial. Statement will be presented. The Prime Minister, Mr. Eraser, .moving tho adjournment, was reminded by Mr. G. AY. Forbes (Opposition, Hurumii) that Southern members were unable to cross Cook Strait. "We are marooned here," he commented. Mr. W. J. Brbadfoot (Opposition, Waitomo) laughingly suggested that there was a refugee problem for the Government. He failed to draw information from Mr. Frnser regarding the lifting of the prohibition on shipping departures, the Prime Minister preferring to mention the early appearance of the Budget. "Yes, the sooner we know- the worst the better," retorted Opposition members."
