COMMITTEE'S FINDING Plan For Military Control Of Republic. POLITICAL PENETRATION. United Press Association.—Copyright. (Received 10.30 a.m.) MONTEVIDEO, June 19. The Chamber of Deputies Investigating Committee found the existence proven of: — (1) A Nazi political organisation in the district of Uruguay to form blocs and cells. (2) Over 150 German motor cyclists. (3) A plan for the military occupation of the republic by Nazis, with the distribution of an active army and a reserve army. (4) The German Legation participated in a journalistic campaign in favour of Nazi infiltration. (5) A plan for tbe distribution of German functionaries for the partition of lands "covering our nation, country and peasants." (6) Commission of crimes against the nation, both individually and collectively. The Chamber has adjourned until Monday. In the meantime, it will consider measures in connection with the committee's conclusions, including those asserted to be proven, as follow:— Legation's Contraband Activities. (1) The German Legation's contraband activities, including the importation of propaganda injurious to nations friendly to Uruguay, and also motion picture and radio apparatus in quantities in excess of private necessities. (2) A Nazi campaign of political penetration in public administration. (3) A political "Hitler Youth" movement throughout the country, whose students established an anti-patriotic organisation in the Federal capital, Paysandu, and Rincon del Bonete. (4) Storm Troopers who practise manoeuvres and military operations. (5) A special Nazi police.

Call To Men And Women Of Uruguay. COMPULSION IN MEXICO. (Received 11 a.m.) MONTEVIDEO, June 19. The Uruguayan Ministry of Defence has issued a proclamation exhorting all men of military age to volunteer for the army and fill the quotas before next Tuesday, and all women to volunteer for the auxiliary services. The Minister of Defence, Signor Julio Roleti, referring to the investigation of Fifth Column activities, said the army had been prepared since May 26« as though for war and an attack. All garrisons were manned and units in Montevideo were ready for transport to anywhere in Uruguay. "We have plenty of arms, and in addition we can count on the full support of our brothers, the Argentines and Brazilians," said Senor Roleti. A meeting of the Mexican Cabinet, at which the President, General Cardenas, presided, approved a law for compulsory military training for a year for all men aged from 18 to 45, says a message from Mexico City. The Cabinet has called a special session of Congress to vote on the bill. It is reliably stated that Berlin has ordered Herr Dietrich, German Press attache in Mexico City, to proceed home i via Japan. Herr Dietrich had been i officially termed "persona non grata" i and unacceptable to the Government of j Mexico, and his recall had been re-; quested. j
