N.Z. INCLUSION?
Western Hemisphere Economic Plan. HINTS US U.S. PAPER. (Received 2 p.m.) WASHINGTON, June 18. Experts of the State Treasury, Commerce and Agricultural Departments are preparing the hemisphere cartel plan and are expected to report to President Roosevelt on Thursday, after which it may be presented to the other American States. The "New York Sun" hints that the inclusion of Australia, New Zealand and also Canada in the plan is being discussed. The plan is an inter-American economic offensive designed to create a central trading agency for the American Republics and Canada, the-idea being to compel the totalitarian Staites to trade on American terms.
FIRST CANADIAN PILOTS.
EMPIRE TRAINING SCHEME.
British Official Wireleae. (Received 1.30 p.m.) RUGBY, June 18. The first pilots to graduate from the Empire air training scheme in Canada are to proceed overseas immediately, according to the Canadian actingDeputy Minister of National Defence for Air in a speech at Ottawa. Further Air Force personnel, he said, complete with aircraft, guns and wireless' equipment, were now standing by ready to proceed overseas. Fighter and bomber 'planes were ready for immediate action, and had already been dispatched to the United Kingdom. Others were awaiting transportation. He also stated that thousands of young men were being called up for service in the Royal Canadian Air Force.
