The discovery of a new typo of star, about 250 times as bright as the sun, is claimed by Dr. Ralph Wilson, astronomer at the Mount Wilson Observatory, Passadena (Cal.)). Such, stars are so rare that there are not more' than CO of them in a field of 400,000,000 stars, Dr. Wilson stated in an interview. they arc about 100 times as bright as an ordinary star," he said, "they are too far away to be seen with the naked eye." One has a speed of 200 miles a second, but the average is 14 miles a second.
