BEAUTIFUL DISPLAY.
QUEKN STRKKT ATTRACTION,
The beautiful gowns to be worn by the queens at the crowning ceremony at the Town Hall on July 2—and at' the concerts .on the succeeding nights—are attracting the attention of large crowds in Queen Street. They are being dieplayed in the windows of Messrs. Milne and Choyce, Ltd., where they will remain for a week.
Included in the window are the drosses to be worn by the respective entrants, together with their photographe, while the central figure is enthroned in the middle of the dispTfry. This gown, to be worn by the eventual winner of the carnival, is a particularly beautiful one. The figure representing the Maori Queen is dressed in the national costume. It ie a magnificent display.
