MAJOR POSITIONS.
PROMOTIONS ANNOUNCED. COLOSEL G. GRATTAN. (B.v Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. It is announced by Territorial Headquarters of tihe Salvation Army, Wellington, that Lieutenant-Colonel George Grattan has been appointed chief secretary for Australia East territory, with headquarters in Sydney. The appointment carries with it the rank of full colonel. Colonel Grattan has been chief secretary in New Zealand for the past four years.
Lieutenant-Colonel Charles Walls has 'been appointed field secretary for Australia South, with headquarters in Melbourne. He is also promoted full colonel. H© lia-s been in Xew Zealand for 30 years, latterly as the National Young People's secretary. He was awarded the M.C. in the 1914-18 war. Colonel Thos. Driscoll comes from Australia to be chief secretary in New Zealand. He has had 42 years' service in Australia. Colonel John Bladin, chief secretary in Sydney, becomes chief secretary in Great Britain.
